Critical thinking

 The Universal Peace Federation in Ukraine (UPF), together with Vikhrestenko Zhanna Volodymyrivna, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Lecturer of the Department of the Kyiv Regional Council's Municipal Educational Institution "Kyiv Regional In-Service Teacher Training Institute," conducted a practical, interactive lesson "School of Peace" online on April 21, 2021 format on the ZOOM platform on the topic: "Critical thinking." It was attended by students from ten schools in Kyiv, teachers, and students.

The purpose of the event is to motivate young people to develop new skills in the XXI century. Critical thinking is a necessary skill and a vital resource of modern man. Critical thinking skills allow you not to drown in the avalanche of information, not to be manipulated, help to make informed decisions and defend them. Critical thinking helps in finding new ways to solve problems. The lesson discussed in detail: what is critical thinking, what it consists of, methods of developing critical thinking, what is the difference between fact and judgment. There was also a practical training for young people, where they learned to recognize fake information. All participants took an active part in the event, gaining the necessary knowledge and skills.
